Is this a legitimate Facebook email?

I discontinued my Facebook membership quite some time ago. I got an email a few days ago, presumably from Facebook, saying they had changed my pword because of safety concerns. I clicked on the attachment, which supposedly gave my new pword, but was actually a 48KB application entitled Facebook details. I did not open it. Does this sound legitimate to you? Since I'm no longer a member, I'm not sure what to do with it. I know they do keep your user name and pword useable in case you want to return at some time in the future.
