When we build a spaceship capable of interstellar transit, should we take a bible with us?

That way, if we discover anything that contradicts the bible, we’ll know it’s not real, right? I’m being sarcastic. We should totally ignore the bible and treat it as a book of myths and legends written by people of a different time. It has no relevance to modern human society and even as a source of historical events, it’s highly questionable, right?
