Can you tell me if we got any help?

Hey folks! Listen i was watching tv recently and saw a commercial for the red cross and they were asking for funds to help the Japanese quake/tsunami/radioactive fallout survivors. Now i don't mind sending the money, but it seems as if every country that has a disaster, we help them. My question is, when hurricane katrina hit, does anyone know if any other country ran ads asking for money to help our people? Just curious, thanks!
